"BASF takes Ciba staff, R&D facility into its fold"

Chemicals-major BASF said that 350 people, a research facility at Chandivali (Mumbai) and a plant at Ankleshwar (Gujarat) would come into its fold, through the merger of Ciba India Ltd with itself.

BASF has nine production facilities and a research facility. While it will keep Ciba's research facility and Gujarat plant, its Goa facility (that was on lease) has reverted to Syngenta, Mr Chandran said.
